Packaging Differences

Imagine this, you decide to go out of your comfort zone and try a new style or a new brand. You feel a little nervous, but excited! You receive your package and you eagerly open it up and then you see it, the wig is inside out and it didn’t come with a hairnet. How could this be? Your other wigs did not come in this condition! You think this item must have been used by someone else. Well, I’m here to assure you that this is not the case!

All wigs are packaged in a unique way to ensure the best protection for the fibers, based on the specific style of hair. This can vary by brand and style. Let’s dig into some different packaging that you might receive!

Your wig may come packaged with the fibers on the outside and wrapped in a net. Many times, there will be tissue paper in the cap or on the sides to help the wig keep its shape.

Your wig could also come inside out with a net wrapped around the fibers. Oftentimes, when a wig is inside out, it is secured with bobby pins to help ensure that the wig doesn’t move around too much during shipping and handling.

Or, your wig may come inside out without a net. This does not mean your wig was used or tried on. It is simply because the manufacturer chose to package the wig without a hairnet.

Some wigs or toppers might not even come in a box at all! Some brands like Rene of Paris, Toni Brattin, or Hairdo distribute some of their wigs in large plastic bags.

Toni Brattin Trendsetter in two different types of packaging

Some brands like Toni Brattin or Hairdo may send their wigs in different packaging, even if it is the same style! The same style could come in a cardboard box or it could come in a large plastic bag. So, don’t be surprised if your Trendsetter came in a box last time, but in a plastic bag this time. Nothing is wrong with the wig, it’s just different packaging!

Final Thoughts

I hope this clears up any confusion regarding the packaging of your wigs. We understand that different packaging with your style can cause some concern, but I would like to assure you that we will make sure you get a beautiful wig regardless of how the manufacturer packaged it. :-)

Much love, The NBW Fam 💕
