Lets Talk With Kim

Are you looking for long hair that you can wear on date nights or those Special occasions? Or maybe you simply enjoy having long locks daily. Here are some of my favorite long styles that I have found to be comfortable and make for some beautiful updo’s.

Hi my friends. If you know me, then you already know that I’m all about the long hair. My very first lace front long wig quickly became one of my favorites. It was Mackenzie by Estetica Designs, and I have repurchased her many times.  Mackenzie has a long side swept bang and looks so sophisticated when pulled up in an updo. Here, I’m wearing Mackenzie in the color RH1488.

Ciara, by Jon Renau, is definitely va-va-voom hair. I get so many compliments when I wear this hair. It’s long, loose and wavy! Not to mention, it has a smart lace front and monofilament cap. It’s a win, win in my book. The color I’m wearing is FS26/31.  Both color and style are gorgeous.

I wore Miles of Style, by Raquel Welch, to a family Brunch, where I hadn’t seen a lot of the people in years. No one knew that I was wearing a wig. I kept hearing, "Wow! Kim, your hair has really grown.  It's so pretty.  I love the color." I couldn’t keep it in and blurted out, "It’s a wig!!!" All I heard were gasps. I of course had to do a hair flip. I didn’t explain why or give any explanations. I've found that there isn’t any need to explain to people why you wear wigs. I’m wearing mine in the color Glazed Sand. I'm so in love with this wig and color.

Another long wavy, sultry style is Joelle by Tony of Beverly. This hair looks so beautiful in an updo. The lace front allows you to pull it away from the face for a soft romantic style. I have worn Joelle on many dates with my hubby.  I will be getting her in a blonde next. The color I’m wearing is Bamboo, which is a light golden brown with honey blonde and medium ash blonde blended highlights. Absolutely stunning!

For curls that start at the top and go completely to the bottom, Sarah by Jon Renau is that gorgeous hair.  It has a beautiful lace front and a hand tied monofilament cap. If I could choose my bio hair, I think this would be it. You can’t go wrong with long flowing curls. I feel like a million bucks when I’m wearing Sarah. I’m wearing her in the color 27T613F.

Confidence plus a gorgeous wig equals success! Never give up. With or without hair you are beautiful, but with the right wig, life can be a little easier. Remember “Butterflies can't see their wings. They can’t see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.”

Hugs my friends,

Hi Karen, When I pull up any of my long wigs I make sure to pull out a little of my bio hair Around the sides this helps it look more natural. You can also take your wig to your stylist and have baby hair cut in. I sometimes cut shorter hair around the nape. I have found that styling your wig once it’s been pulled up by pulling out some bio hair and hiding welfs if any are showing is the key to making it look Realistic. Here are some of the longer styles that I like wearing in an updo or low ponytail. Angelica by Noriko, Sloane by Tony Of Beverly, Mackenzie by Estetica, Longing for long by Raquel Welch, Miles of Styles by Raquel Welch. If you have bio hair you could try a topper. I haven’t worn a topper but I’ve seen a lot of videos and those women do a fantastic job at pulling their hair up and it looks very realistic in my opinion. Check out Leah’s blog below on how to wear the perfect topper. Lots of information there. You can always call one of the ladies here at NBW they can help you find that perfect wig or topper. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Diane, I use a couple of products for this problem. Before wearing my long wigs I will spray the nape with the HD Detangler by Jon Renau. I repeat it at the end of the day. I gently comb the nape out, spray it and put it on a wig head. I also use a leave in conditioner for synthetic hair, by BeautiMark. These two products help a lot. You can get both of those products here at Name Brand Wigs. 😁

Hi Kim – I own 1 long wig (Henry Margu – Bethany) and absolutely love it except for the fact that it gets so snarled underneath at the back of my neck. Can you tell me how to prevent this or what you do cause I really want to purchase more long wigs.

Hi, I’m excited about buying my first wig, I have to pull my hair up while working. I would like any suggestions on one wigs that can be worn in iPods without any tail tail sign of it being a wig. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
