Spring Style Aesthetics

We Minnesotans have a great appreciation for the season of spring, as it is the catalyst that brings us out of the dark, dreary, cold of winter and towards the gorgeous summer that we all love. Don’t get me wrong, winter is beautiful, but after five to six months of snow, we’re ready for some sunshine. Spring also brings amazing opportunities to freshen up your wardrobe. After a while, winter outfits get overused and monotonous, and the itch to get new clothes comes in full swing. As spring approaches, here’s some inspiration for a few outfits and hairstyles to get you into the warm-weather mindset!

 

 

One of my favorite parts of dressing for spring is bringing out the colors that I stowed away for the winter months. Butter-yellow has been on the rise for a while now, and I’m OBSESSED. For this outfit, I chose a cute, butter-yellow cardigan, some stripey linen pants, and some trendy sneakers. This would be an amazing outfit to wear while the air is still a little chilly, but when you’re ready to tap into that spring palette and vibe.

 

 

 

 

The bob continues to maintain its position as the most popular hair trend as we move into spring. You’re probably going to sense a bit of a theme in these outfit inspirations, as I wanted to lean into that trend. For this outfit, I chose one of Gabor’s newest styles: Energy! The last outfit I put together is a collection of all of my favorite fashion trends as of lately. I chose some barrel jeans (which have been on the rise over the past year and are a great addition to any closet), a babydoll tank top, and some Mary Jane shoes/sandals, which have been at the top of my shoe wishlist for MONTHS. This outfit is a granola girl’s dream and easy to customize to fit anyone’s personal style. The tank top could be replaced with an oversized tee or something more heavyweight if the weather is cooler. I threw in some more vintage-style jewelry with a couple of pops of color to brighten the outfit, and some frilly socks to give a more feminine feel. I’m loving this one!

 

 

For this outfit, I knew that the hair would need some texture. I also thought a wispy fringe would complement it beautifully! The style I landed on was Conquer the Waves by Gabor.
